JW Morgan of Bellwood, IL passed away at Oakridge Nursing & Rehab in Hillside on March 20, 2011 at the age of 84. He is preceeded in death by his parents Frank and Fannie Morgan and his sister Rosie Lee Morgan. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou Morgan, his brother Huer Lee Morgan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

JW was born in Merigold, Mississippi on September 16, 1926. He was the first of three children born to Frank and Fannie Morgan. JW  joined the Army at the age of 14. Because of his size, he was able to pass for 19. He married Mary Lou Morgan in 1946. After successfully serving 20 years in the armed services, he and his wife moved to Chicago where he was employed by Sears.  Later he moved to the suburbs of Chicago to Bellwood.

Private cremation services will be held and he will be buried with military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at 2pm on Thursday, March 31, 2011.
