Juan Antonio “Toño” Marrufo, of Chicago, was born on April 18, 1989 in San José de Morillitos, Durango, and passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2023 at the age of 34. He is best remembered for his infectious energy and his passion for music, whether it was dancing or playing his saxophone. Toño will also be remembered for his love of soccer, ready to start a pick-up game at a moments’ notice, but more importantly, the biggest Chivas fan.

Juan Antonio will now be reunited with his father Gabriel Marrufo, his mother Cristina Romero,
and his older brother, Gabriel Marrufo, Jr. in heaven. He has left behind his daughter Dayla; his
sisters Claudia Galindo (Mario Galindo), Sonia Marrufo (Angel Ramos), and Vanesa Marrufo
(Nathan Santiago); and many loving nieces and nephews.

May his soul find eternal rest, and may his family and friends find comfort in the beautiful
memories they shared with him.

Visitation will be Friday, November 17 from 3PM-8PM at Christian Fellowship Church, 4220
W 59th St. Chicago, IL 60629. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 9:30AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church (1510 S. 49th St. Cicero IL 60804) and we will follow him to his final resting place at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S. Wolf Rd. Hillside IL in Section 23.

Juan Antonio “Tono” Marrufo, de Chicago, nació el 18 de abril de 1989 en la ciudad de San
Jose de Morillitos y se despidió inesperadamente el 10 de noviembre con tan solo 34 años.
Siempre recordaremos su espíritu divertido y su pasión por la música, ya sea bailando o
tocando el saxofón. Toño también será recordado por su amor por el fútbol, listo para cascarear
en cualquier momento, pero lo más importante, como el fanatico más grande de las Chivas.

Ahora se reencontrará con su papá Gabriel Marrufo, su mamá Cristina Romero, y su hermano
mayor Gabriel Marrufo, Jr. en el cielo. Deja atrás a su hija Dayla; sus hermanas Claudia
Galindo y su esposo Mario Galindo, Sonia Marrufo y su esposo Angel Ramos, y Vanesa
Marrufo y su esposo Nathan Santiago; y sus sobrinas y sobrinos.

Que su alma encuentre descanso eterno, y que su familia y amigos encuentren consuelo en los
hermosos recuerdos que compartieron con él.

El velorio para Toño se llevará a cabo en la iglesia Christian Fellowship Church (4220 W 59th
St. Chicago, IL 60629) el viernes, 17 de noviembre de 3pm-8pm.

Habrá una misa para pedir su eterno descanso el sábado, 18 de noviembre a las 9:30 am en la
Iglesia San Antonio de Padua (1510 S. 49th St. Cicero IL 60804) y luego acompañaremos sus
restos al cementerio Queen of Heaven,1400 S. Wolf Rd. Hillside IL – Seccion 23.
