José Marcos Ambriz, 77 years old, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  “Don Marcos”, an endearing name as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by his cherished children: Irma Meza, Ricardo Guzmán, Sandy Guzmán, and Annette Guzmán.  Grandfather of 10: Rubén Meza Jr., Korina Meza, Kiara Meza, Ian Meza, Davian Guerra, Mirari Guerra, Aiden Guerra, Baltazar Salgado, Adela Salgado, and Micaela Conley. Great grandfather of 3: Heath Meza, Elaya Meza and Elijah Meza.  

Don Marcos was an amazing father.  He was humble, kind and compassionate.  He was a hard worker and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  He was a man of all trades.  He was well known in and around Pilsen for over 40 years.  He will always be remembered for his bright smile, laughter and his heart of gold.  Don Marcos will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Visitation: Friday, February 22, 2019; 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  at Holy Trinity, 1850 S. Throop Street, Chicago, Illinois 60608. Funeral Service: Saturday, February 23, 2019, Lying in State at St. Procopius Church from 9:00 a.m. till start of Celebration of Life – Mass at 10:00 a.m.  St. Procopius Church 1200 West 18^th Street (Corners of 18^th Street and Allport Street), Chicago, Illinois 60608.
