Jose Luis Zamora sadly lost his battle with Lung Cancer on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 7:20 pm. He left behind his beloved wife Esperanza nicknamed with affection “Chia” whom he had been married to for 47 years. He is survived by his six children: Maria (46), Maria Ubalda (45), Veronica (44), Jose Luis Jr (40), Francisco Javier (32), and Guadalupe Luis (28) along with his 16 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a 7:00 pm Mass in his name on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Mother of the Americas Church, 2226 S. Whipple St., Chicago formerly known as Our Lady of Tepeyac Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in his honor at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 followed by the procession to St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery 4401 W. 111th St., Chicago.

Jose Luis Zamora lamentablemente perdió su batalla contra el Cáncer de Pulmón el miércoles 7 de junio de 2023 a las 7:20 pm. Dejó atrás a su amada esposa Esperanza apodada con cariño “Chía” con quien estuvo casado por 47 años. Le sobreviven sus seis hijos: María (46), María Ubalda (45), Verónica (44), José Luis Jr (40), Francisco Javier (32) y Guadalupe Luis (28) junto con sus 16 nietos.
El velorio se llevará a cabo de 4:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m. con una misa a las 7:00 p. m. en su nombre el martes 13 de junio de 2023 en la Iglesia Madre de las Américas, 2226 S. Whipple St., Chicago, anteriormente conocida como Nuestra Señora de la Iglesia del Tepeyac. Se llevará a cabo una misa de entierro cristiano en su honor a las 11:00 a. m. el miércoles 14 de junio de 2023, seguida de la procesión al cementerio católico St. Casimir 4401 W. 111th St., Chicago.

May God bless him in Heaven as he was blessed here on earth. May he rest in eternal peace in heaven. I pray for his family and friends that mourn …for all the love, peace , strength , and prayer needed to endure the pain of their loss. God bless you all. Amen
