Felicitas Rodríguez, 101 years old, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 20th, 2021, surrounded by family and friends in Chicago, Illinois.

Felicitas was born in Villa Juárez, San Luis Potosi, and México on February 21st, 1920 as one of seven children. She was a homemaker and spent most of her life in Mexico.  In 2007, she moved to Chicago where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law María and Ignacio López until the very end.

On her 100th birthday, family and friends had the chance to gather to celebrate her birthday, celebrate mass, and give thanks to God for blessing us with another birthday with her.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a cherished friend of many who will remember her for her dedication to her family, her positivity, and her pride for her heritage. Felicitas was married to Fernando Rodríguez and spent more than 50 years together until the death of her husband in 2008. Felicitas was a mother to 9 children and preceded in death by her 6 children ♱María Guadalupe Rodríguez ♱Josefina Rodríguez ♱ Juan Rodríguez ♱ Moisés Rodríguez ♱Josefina Rodríguez and ♱ Fidel Rodríguez. Felicitas is survived by her 3 loving children, daughters María Rodríguez de López, Claudia Rodríguez and son Fernando Rodríguez, her grandchildren, great grand-grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.

She will be missed more than she would have ever known by those who love her, and she will forever be a part of those lives she touched.

Please join us for the funeral service: Wednesday April 28th, 2021 at St. Procopius Church, 1200 West 18th Street (Corner of 18th Street and Allport Street), Chicago Illinois, 60608. Visitation hours will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and mass will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Villa Juárez, San Luis Potosi, México, where she will rest in peace next to her husband.

No Children under 13 years old can be accommodated for safety reasons. For those wishing to pay their respects, only 50 people at a time will be allowed at a time. Funeral Associates will be directing those paying respects upon entering the church. ALL ATTENDEES must cover using mouth-face mask covers, respect social distancing and use of hand sanitizers. **According to the regulations CDC; the Archdiocese of Chicago, Churches and Cemeteries due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, those attending the church services, ALL ATTENDEES must cover using mouth-face mask covers, use of hand sanitizers and respect the social distancing at all times.

Felicitas Rodríguez, de 101 años, falleció tranquilamente en su casa el martes 20 de abril de 2021, rodeada de familiares y amigos en Chicago, Illinois. Felicitas nació en Villa Juárez, S.L.P. México el 21 de febrero de 1920 siendo una de siete hijos/as. Fué ama de casa y pasó la mayor parte de su vida en México.

En 2007, se mudó a Chicago donde vivió con su hija y yerno Ignacio &  María López hasta el final. En su cumpleaños de 100 anos, sus familiares y amigos tuvieron la oportunidad de reunirse para celebrar su cumpleaños, escuchar misa y dar gracias a Dios por bendecirnos con poder estar otro cumpleaños con ella.

Fue una amorosa esposa, madre, abuela y una querida amiga de muchos que la recordarán por su dedicación a su familia, su positividad y su orgullo por su herencia. Felicitas estuvo casada con ♱Fernando Rodríguez y pasaron más de 50 años juntos hasta la muerte de su esposo en 2008. Felicitas fué madre de 9 hijos y le precedieron en la muerte sus 6 hijos ♱María Guadalupe Rodríguez ♱Josefina Rodríguez ♱Juan Rodríguez ♱Moisés Rodríguez ♱Josefina Rodríguez y ♱ Fidel Rodríguez. Felicitas le sobreviven 3 amorosos hijos/as: sus hijas María Rodríguez de López y Claudia Rodríguez, su hijo Fernando Rodríguez, sus nietos, bisnietos y tataranietos.

Quienes la aman la extrañarán más de lo que jamás hubieran sabido, ya que siempre será parte de toda las  vidas que tocó. Por favor únanse a nosotros para el servicio de funeral: Velación: Miércoles, 28 de Abril de 2021; en la Iglesia San Procopio, 1200 West 18th Street (esquina de 18th Street y Allport Street), Chicago Illinois 60608. Velación: 4:00 p.m. a 7:00 p.m. Misa Celebración de Vida  comenzará. Puntualmente a las 7:00 p.m. Entierro se llevará a cabo en Villa Juárez, San Luis Potosi,  México, donde descansará en paz junto a su esposo.

Por mucho que a la familia le encantaría recibir sus abrazos, es importante brindar seguridad para todos. No se permiten visita de niños menores de 13 años por razones de seguridad. Para aquellos que deseen presentar sus respetos, solo se permitirán 50 personas a la vez. Las asociadas de la funeraria dirigirá a quienes presenten sus respetos al ingresar a la iglesia. TODOS LOS ASISTENTES deben cubrirse usando mascarillas faciales, respetar el distanciamiento social y el uso de desinfectantes de manos.
