Elena Guzman, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Survived by her loving children, Joseph Cruz, Maria (Pompeyo) Villagomez, Roy (Adela) Cruz, Joe (Sara) Rodriguez, and Steven Rodriguez; sister, Suzanna Guzman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Preceded in death by her children, Trinadad Cruz, Jesse Cruz, Robert Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez, and Leticia Rodriguez. Elena enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo and knitting. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 from 2pm-8pm at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111^th Street, Chicago Ridge. Family and friends will meet at St. Kevin Church, 10509 S. Torrence Avenue, Chicago on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 for a 10am mass. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Evergreen Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
