Mitchell, nee Oswald, 85, Beloved wife of the late William W.; devoted mother of Bill, Mia Favicchio and Amy (Vaughn) Erickson; proud grandmother of Bill Mitchell, Seth Erickson, Joe Favicchio, Michael Mitchell and the late Jessica Mitchell. Loving daughter of the late Gregory and Mary (nee Toman) Oswald; cherished sister of J. Gregory (Manol) Oswald of Tucson, AZ, and the late Kate Swabek, Julia Barrick, Marie Zeman, Anne Krall and Betty Petek; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Friday, 8:45 AM from Zimmerman & Sandeman Funeral Home, 5200 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn to St. Linus Church. Mass 9:30 AM. Interment Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Dolores was a Social Justice Activist involved with the Peace & Justice Ministry at St. Linus, St. Elizabeth Catholic Worker Shelter, PADS Program and the Courage Program. In lieu of flowers, masses or donations to the poor will be appreciated.
