We announce with profound sadness the passing of Regina A. Sapinski, 90 years of age, on December 5th, 2020.  Regina was the beloved wife to Eugene F. Sapinski Sr.; loving and devoted mother to Eugene F. Sapinski, John J. Sapinski, David T. Sapinski, Michael A. Sapinski, Judith A. Sapinski, Patrick F. Sapinski, and Tanya M. Serlovsky (Sapinski); grandmother to 13 grandchildren; and great-grandmother to 11 children.

Regina was born on September 7th, 1930 and grew up in Arnold, PA.  Regina came to Chicago because her sister moved here. She stood up to a wedding where she met her future husband Eugene F. Sapinski Sr.  They were married on March 22nd, 1952. They later moved to Berkeley, IL where she raised 7 children and lived there until her passing on December 5th, 2020.  Regina lived as a wonderful mother and matriarch, celebrated grandmother as well as aunt, homemaker, and friend to many.  She loved cooking, gardening, reading, and raising her kids.  Most of all she loved her family and instilled her children with strong values that have served them well.  She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Regina’s name.
