I am so very sorry for the family’s loss. I ran into Randy a little over a year ago, it was great catching up with him. Still the same Randy I knew once upon a time. The Walker Family was always a joy to be around and I’m sure you will all miss him deeply. I hope your loving memories will help you all through this difficult time.

Words never seem to heal the hole left by the loss of a loved one. It is at times like these you truly find the inner strength, you didn’t know was there. Our sincere condolences . Lean on your friends when you find the need. That is their greatest gift to you.

Remembering my Randy (Randerson) and your Randy sharing so many stories and laughter while hanging out at Charlie & Eddie’s garage. Walker always told me that I had “snagged” the better Randy, but I loved him like my husband loved him…like a brother. Forever making you giggle, forever telling crazy (but true) stories, forever a true friend! The mystery of our faith is that we will meet again – hold on to hope Sandy and Walker family.

When I was five years old, I met Randy. We lived at 136 Grady Drive (or as I called it then, 136 Gravy Drive through) right next to Randy.

As a five year old, he seemed like a pretty tough and scary guy. Back then, he was always taking something apart, putting another back together or revving some sort of engine with a cocktail always in hand. Randy quickly went from “just the neighbor” to a great friend of our family. It didn’t take long to realize that the tough guy wasn’t actually so tough after all. Once you got into his heart, he would do anything to take care of you. Whether it was a lawn mower, a snow blower or just a smile, wave and friendly conversation from the driveway next door, there was no mistaking how much he genuinely cared.

Randy was there to witness it all- he watched me cruise around the driveway in my pink hot wheels Jeep as a child, the tears and screaming after falling yet again trying to play with my skip-it, searched for my lost kitten in a freezing blizzard and brought her home to me, stand guard from his garage when we snuck boys over when Mom wasn’t home (sorry, Mom!), to eventually realizing that all those years had past and saying “wait?! When did she GROW UP?!” (Or more accurately, “wait?! When did she get BOOBS?!” Haha).

Randy Walker, you and Sandy were the best neighbors a little girl could’ve ever asked for. You were and always will be a part of our family and have a special place in our hearts. It’s with a heavy heart that we recognize that you’re gone, but know you’ll always live on in these wonderful memories and in spirit.

I met Randy decades ago when I had a problem with my Saab. He fixed the problem in ten minutes and would not take a penny for it and told me to come back when I had a real problem, so Randy. He “Walkerized” the next seven Saabs. One of the best friends a person could hope to have. I will miss him terribly and continue to tell all of the crazy but true stories I witnessed over the years. Randy was one of a kind.

I am so sorry to hear about Randy’s passing. I enjoyed working with him and appreciated his kindness. Wishing peace to Sandy and family at this difficult time.
