They would say to you: “It was… a ‘yardero’ (landscaper), a ‘yonkero’ (junk/metal scrap), a ‘chivero’, a dancer, a businessman, a loving husband, a loving father and grandfather. Ramon was a little bit of everything: He will sell you tamales, milk, animals, clothes, tools.  He worked in factories and yards, but what he liked most was ‘yonkear’. He got up every day at 5 a.m. to go to ‘yonkear’.  After a long day, he would gather to his ‘polladas’, he played music from polkas to Huapangos at full volume and drank his ‘Budweisers’ and ‘Buchanan’s”. He’d come and go from Chicago to Cerralvo as many times he’d like it. Every time he went to his beloved Cerralvo, he will always bring a ‘dry carnita’ from Treviño, his chili ‘pikitin’ and oregano for his crumbs.” He was a very proud father of his ‘huercos’/children and grandchildren and was able to do all that with the support of his great and beloved wife ‘Beatricita’.

He was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend and a very fighting old man. He was a King to his wife and a big hero to all his children and grandchildren. A day by day fighter, he never gives up.
