Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia Ann Smith, age 75, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025 surrounded by family. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 13th, 1949 to the late Edward and Mary Jane Humbert.

A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Pat dedicated her life to her family. She had a passion for travel, soccer, and live music. Pat had season tickets for the Chicago Fire from before the team was fully formed in 1998, and watched every match she did not attend on TV. Her favorite bands were Def Leppard and The Struts, and she frequently toured around the country to see shows with her best friend Tina Miller and her daughter Tracy. Pat frequently took her children camping and loved to go on cruises.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Tracy Nowaczyk, and her husband, Louis Nowaczyk II; and her son, Ronald Smith, and his wife, Jaime Newsom. She was a proud grandmother to Lydia Smith and Edith Newsom and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind four siblings, Edward Humbert, Jo Condon, Tess Duda, and Paula Humbert.

She was also preceded in death by her two siblings, Mary Anne Kujawa and Peter Humbert, and her beloved pets Banjo, Tigger, and Rozzie.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at Jamo's Live, 10160 191st Street, Mokena, Illinois on Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 2pm until 5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by clicking the online link below.
