Maria Gudelia Madrigal

Maria Gudelia Madrigal, age 85, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and the heart of her family. Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfredo Madrigal, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and dedication.

Maria was born in Penjamillo, Michoacán, where she developed the strong family values and loving spirit that defined her life. She was the proud mother of seven children: two sons, Alfredo Madrigal, Luis Madrigal and five daughters, Patricia, Olivia, Guadalupe, Delia, and Laura. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest pride and joy.

Maria had a deep love for gardening, finding peace and happiness while tending to her plants. She cherished spending time with her family, especially cooking alongside her daughters and grandchildren, passing down traditions, recipes, and memories that will live on for generations. She enjoyed crocheting, watching soap operas, and was always eager to learn new recipes, finding joy in the simple pleasures of everyday life.Above all else, Maria loved being surrounded by her loved ones. Family gatherings, laughter, and togetherness brought her the greatest happiness. Her warmth, kindness, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy will continue through the many lives she nurtured and inspired. Maria Gudelia Madrigal will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her loving heart, her strength, and her unwavering devotion to family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, family and friends will gather at the Madrigal Residence at 1823 S. Allport Street, Chicago, IL 60608 from 3:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 with the Celebration of Life Mass to begin at 10:30 a.m. at St. Procopius Church (Corner of 18th Street & Allport Street) Chicago, IL 60608. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Rd, Justice, IL 60458.

Holy Rosary will begin Saturday, January 17th through Sunday, January 25, 2026.
