Maria “Cuca” Ibáñez, 92, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 7th, 2025 surrounded by family. Cuca was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on May 18th, 1933 to Julio Lopez and Maria Hernandez. She was the eldest sister of Antonio, Juanita and Jesus.Cuca. She rejoins her late husband Teodoro Ibáñez, and her eldest son. Devoted mother of her children; Raquel (Candelario Rodriguez), Daniel and Javier (Mary Pichardo). Proud Grandmother of Annabel (Edward Earley), Gregorio Rodriguez (Alicia Beltran), Olivia (John Gounaris), Miguel Pichardo and Alicia Pichardo. Great-Grandmother of Dalilah Earley (Anthony Stabile), Jacob Earley, the late Helena Gounaris, Elias Gounaris, and Melina Gounaris.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at Hursen Funeral Home 4001 Roosevelt Rd., Hillside, IL 60162 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Thursday, July 10, 2025, family and friends will meet at St Paul Catholic Church 2127 W. 22nd Place, Chicago, Illinois 6068 for the Celebration of Life Mass to begin promptly at 10;00 a.m. Burial will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois 60162.
