Evelyn B. Schmid

Evelyn "Evy" Schmid nee Williamsen, 98, passed away peacefully at her home on July 9, 2026 after a short illness. She dedicated her life to her family, including the 72 amazing years she was married to Robert, who passed away last year. She was a loving mother to her children; Donald, Ellen Maley and Julie (Steve) Ruffolo and a doting grandmother to Christine, Lauren (Matt), Michelle, Nicole, Stacey (Jack) and Benjamin. She cherished her five great grandchildren; Olivia, Grace, Connor, Zoe and Violet.

Evelyn had many friends over the years in Chicago, Mt Prospect, Denver, NC, Lake Wylie, SC and in Downers Grove, IL. She enjoyed summers in Eagle River, WI as a child and made her own paradise for her family on Green Lake, WI. Visits with family and friends, travel and Rob Roys were some of her favorite pastimes as well as reminiscing about her devoted Alaskan Malamute, Kodi.
