Antonia Camarillo, born María Antonia Garcia Vizcarra on June 13, 1944, in Santa María del Oro, Durango, México, to the late Nasario García Ortega and María de la Luz Vizcarra, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 9, 2025.
Antonia was a woman of remarkable will and unwavering love.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, José Camarillo, and her cherished twin daughters, Leticia and Patricia.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. Her home was always filled with the comforting aroma of her cooking, the laughter of loved ones, and the warmth of her heart. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—sharing meals, watching her favorite telenovelas, and celebrating every milestone of those she loved.
Antonia dedicated many years of hard work at Intercraft Frame Co., where her dedication and work ethic reflected the same values she carried into every part of her life.
She is survived by her eight children: Maria de Los Angeles “Gela” (Bret), Irais (Peerouz), Edgardo (Rachel), Tony (Elizabeth), Jorge (Nina), Rudy (Maria), Ramona (Alejandro), and Joey (Mariza). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Leo, Jonathan, Arresh, Afsanneh, Arvand, Talissa, Estefanía, Natalia, Eva, Ian, Kevin, Julio, Sunjay, Isabella, Jason, Cristian, Christopher, Brandon, little Rudy, Sebastian, Telinna, Alex, and Elena. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Maya, Olivia, Cole, Samantha, Cain, Atlas, Archer, Joaquín, and Santiago—each one bringing her immense pride and joy.
She is preceded in death by her brothers José and Luis, and is lovingly mourned by her caring siblings Loreto, Manuel, Cresenciano, Jesús, and Guadalupe.Antonia’s legacy of love, resilience, and faith will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation: Thursday, November 13, 2025. 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Adolf & Powell Funeral Home, 2921 S. Harlem Avenue, Berwyn, IL 60402. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025. Family and friends will gather directly at St. Pius V. Church, 1901 S. Ashland Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60608 for the Celebration of Life Mass 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
