Alejandro “Alex” Calleros, born on April 12, 1995, in the vibrant Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2026.

With his passing, the world lost a cherished son, husband, and father. Alex was the beloved son of Raquel and Iran Calleros, and he brought immense joy and pride to his family throughout his life.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, a testament to his beautiful spirit and the light he brought to everyone around him.

A graduate of Plainfield East High School in 2013, Alex was known for his infectious smile that could light up any room. His sense of humor endeared him to those who knew him, as he was always ready with a joke or a kind word. His heart was as expansive as his smile, and his genuine kindness touched the lives of many.

Alex honorably served his country in the United States Army, spending three years stationed in Germany. His dedication and service were a source of pride for his family and friends, and he carried the discipline and camaraderie he learned there throughout his life.

In his personal time, Alex found solace and joy in the gym, where his passion for fitness was evident. He also delighted in the creative challenge of building with Legos, a hobby that allowed him to express his imaginative spirit.

Alex's family was his world. He is survived by his wife, Lindsey Zettle, and his cherished son, Levi Martinez-Calleros. His siblings, John Lally and Kristen Martinez.

Alex also leaves behind his devoted parents, Raquel and Iran Calleros, who were his greatest supporters and admirers.

Though he has left this world, Alex joins those who have gone before him, including his Nana Gregoria Rodriguez, Nino Victor Rodriguez, grandmother Mary Quijas Jimenez, and grandfather Luis Calleros Macias. They welcome him home with open arms.

A celebration of Alex's life will be held on September 26, 2026, at 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Christian Fellowship Church, located at 4220 W 59th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60629.

Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the incredible life he led. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Alex’s memory may make donations to a charity of their choice, reflecting the generous spirit that Alex embodied.

Though Alex’s time with us was far too short, his impact was profound, and his memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
