Nedra was not only the loving sister of my deceased husband Lon Beatty, but she was, in herself, a very quiet, caring, and loved person whom God put into my life. For this I thank Him. People whose lives she has touched, even with her gift of music, have been blessed.
We rejoice with her now as she has received the greatest gift. – eternal life with Jesus.

Grandma Nedra was an extremely interesting person. Our talks would roam from the CUBBIES to her memories of being young & her visit to Cuba. She was a female ahead of her time. She was known to be put together always: scarves, lipstick & a smile. The world was a better place with her as a part, yet she made you feel important with her sincere interest in your activities. Her everlasting story will be her ability to sit at a piano without sheet music & play brilliantly for hours even at 100 plus years old. May she now be in comfort at home with Willis & our heavenly Father. Heaven got a gift which will be missed & celebrated. Peace is everlasting.

Aunt Nedra was a wonder aunt. In her quiet way, she took great interest in what you had to say. I loved hearing her speak of her life. Style wise, the 50’s, with the ‘New Look’, was her favourite decade. She spoke of her trip to Cuba and she was so young at the time! Travelling by bus with her girlfriend to Florida and taking a boat to Cuba! What an adventure! She will be missed but she is with her husband and family and most importantly, she is with her heavenly Father. To her family, my condolences. May God give you peace and comfort.

Aunt Nedra had a very close and loving relationship with her younger brother (my father) Alonzo Beatty III. Their love for each other was very evident, and my father always used to tease her. Growing up, I remember trying to convince Aunt Nedra to play this little organ in her home. She did occasionally entertain us, and was very gifted. The Chicago Cubs are missing one of their biggest fans right now; though I bet she’s cheering from Heaven! God’s comfort and solace to Noreen, David and family. God grant you peace.
