Michael A. Espinosa, (Cook), entered into eternal rest peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at Holy Cross Hospital on December 29, 2019 at the age of 60. He was a loving Husband to Maria (Rafa) Espinosa. Caring Father to Michael A. Espinosa Jr. and Kimberley Espinosa. Proud Grandfather of Reynaldo Xavier Sanchez. Loving Brother to Christina Espinosa (Esteban), Irene Rodriguez (Mario) and Josefina Gamboa.

Michael A. Espinosa is preceded in death by his mother Esperanza Godinez, father Angelo Espinosa, brother Jose Luis Espinosa and his sister Louisa Soto.

Michael A. Espinosa was born on November 24,1959 in Chicago, Illinois to Esperanza Godinez and Angelo Espinosa. He graduated from De La Salle Institute. He married his one true love Maria R. Espinosa (Chata) in 1986. Some of Michael’s favorite hobbies were singing and playing guitar. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Choir with his family. He also enjoyed watching Chicago sports, a true Chicago Cubs fan. His smile and laughter would light up the room every time he entered. His family and friends will live to remember his kindness and willingness to help anyone and everyone. He was a true Gentleman and loving person overall.

Visitation:  Friday January 3, 2020 at Christian Fellowship Church, 4220 W. 59th St. Chicago from 3:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 4, 2020, prayers at 8:45 a.m. from Christian Fellowship Church, 4220 W.  59th St., Chicago. Funeral Mass/Celebration of Life 10:00 a.m. St. Nicholas of Tolentine, 3721 W. 62nd Street, Chicago. Burial Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Road, Hillside.

Maria, I can only imagine what you are going through. I was saddened when I heard the news. I am very honored and grateful that I was able to meet Mike and will never forget his kind and jolly soul.
