Maria Guadalupe Moreno passed away at the age of 50 years of age on Friday September 17, 2021 from complications involving COVID at Holy Cross Hospital, Chicago, Illinois. Maria was a caring, loving and nurturing shining light. She was relentless in her support to both family and friends who faced their own challenging times. We will miss Maria and we will never forget her beautiful smile and loud laughter which would fill countless rooms. We say goodbye to a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and best friend. She joins her mother, father and brother in eternal peace.
Visitation: Friday, September 24, 2021 at Christian Fellowship Church, 4220 West 59th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60629 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Christian Fellowship Church, 4220 West 59th Street, Chicago, Illinois 60629. Maria will be lying in state till the start of Funeral Mass/Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.. Burial St. Mary Cemetery, 87th Street and S. Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, Illinois.

The family asks that anyone who considering being present at either one or both services, please follow the mandatory COVID guidelines: masks must be worn at all times, respect social distancing and hand sanitizer to be used upon entering church. Please accept my sincere condolences for the loss of Maria. She was one of the nicest people that I ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was kind to me even before she knew me. God Rest her soul.

My deepest condolences to you all. I have the best childhood memories because of the Moreno family so this hits us hard.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marya in Jamaica. Marya was so kind and had just an infectious smile. She will be greatly missed.

I’m still in shock. I can’t believe we will never hear her laughing again. Saying Goodbye earlier today still didn’t make it real. My sincere condolences to the entire family. May she Rest in Peace

I am so sadden to hear about Maria’s passing, my deepest condolences to the Moreno family, a loving caring family I new in my younger years. May she rest with peace with out heavenly Father.
