    Mr. Wallace,
I am so very sorry about Jay. I’ve been reliving our childhood together over the past week, and it always makes me smile. I’m so sad to know that his life was such a struggle, and I can’t help but wish I could have done something to help. You and Daryl will remain in my prayers, and I will see you on the 15th.

    To The Wallace Family,

Sorry for your loss. Jason was an inspiration to me and a great classmate, teammate and friend when we were at Queen of the Universe. He was the go to guy whenever we needed a big play, whether it be baseball, basketball or football. Whenever I talk about childhood athletes with my children his name is always mentioned as one of the better ones in play and attitude. His memory will carry on in the minds and conversations of friends from the South Side. I’ll try to make the memorial to pay my respect. My Sister Lisa offers her condolences too and will not be able to attend, she lives out of state. Again, to the whole Wallace Family, Sorry For You Loss….

Jay came into our lives his freshman year at St. Rita and became best of friends with my son Dan (Kavalauskas). He spent lots of time at our house and when he stayed overnite he always went to church with Dan on Sunday at St. Bede’s. He was at my sisters wedding on the 17th – so glad I got to see him and hug him. He was also a great friend to my nephew Michael McCabe. So sorry for your loss.

No words can sum up the loss of such great person , Man and to me a friend I could call son and he could call me Ma. My heart aches for all of you try to grasp tight to your loved ones and lean when you feel weak . I dreamt I saw him last night he was running and smiling and giggling like he hadn’t a care in the world and as I woke up this morning I realized that is what he truly wants us to believe. Dear Wallace Family thank you so much for sharing Jason with all of us his presence will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Fly high my sweet boy and I know I will see you again one of this I am certain! Love always ❤️

    Dear Wallace Family,

My deepest condolences on Jay’s passing. I will be forever grateful to him for his example of how to treat other people with respect and kindness. High school can be a strange time of transition, and though Jay was quite obviously a star at St. Rita, he treated everybody with decency and humility. As a teenager this especially stuck out, and he made an indelible impression on me and countless others, no doubt. You all are in my wife and my prayers.
