If I could find the perfect words of comfort, I would say them. If I knew what I could do to offer peace with this tragedy, I would do it. I am at a loss of what to say or do other than to offer my love and prayers.

I’m not sure if you remember me, but I competed against Jarrod in High School Track. I never could beat him and always looked up to him even though we were on different teams. He was a great guy and someone I would never forget. I feel awful but only have good memories and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I was one of the terribly upset people who saw what happened when he passed away. I was working and looked out the window, and then ran to him and all of us tried very hard to quickly get help for him. It is something one never forgets, and now that I know who he was and that he was a wonderful young man and no longer an unknown person I know who I am praying for. He will always be in my prayers.
