Jane Elizabeth Dix (nee Foote), passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 12, 1949 to John and Evelyn (nee Thies) Foote who preceded her in death.  She was the beloved sister of Russell Payeur who preceded her in death, John Foote, and Elizabeth Wergin.

She attended school in Illinois and Missouri, graduating from McCluer High School in 1967.  She married Douglas Dix in 1977.  She was the proud mother of 4 children, Lisa Rains, Laura (David) Fiedrich, Mandy (Kevin) Jezewski, and Michael Dix.  Her great joy in life was being a grandmother (aka “Bodding”) to Christen, Douglas, Noah, Alexandra, and Carter.  She will smile down on all of us when her sixth grandchild is born in December 2015.  She was the loving aunt of Martin (Julie) Payeur and Johannah (Nick) Miller.

She was very much loved and we will miss her every day.  Bon voyage ma Cherie   ~Pierre Sequard

In honor of her strength in facing cancer, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or Seasons Hospice in lieu of flowers, or to honor her love of children and shopping, please bring a new toy to her service to donate to Toys for Tots.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 3:00pm until time of Memorial Service, 7:00pm  at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 24021 Royal Worlington Dr., Naperville, IL  60564.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Jane with one of the doctors she saw. She was so strong and always had a smile on her face. Never once did she complain. In fact, she always asked about my best friend whom was also fighting cancer. She was a wonderful woman and has left a beautiful legacy. My sincere condolences to everyone that she loved and blessed their lives with by just having known her. She will be missed.
