James Frederick Dawson, 77, died peacefully Monday,  February 22, 2016 at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center.

He leaves his wife, Kay Dawson, of 30 years along with his loving siblings, children, grandchildren, friends and the dog he loved many years. James was a hard working and very dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He was working late into his life in a well received effort to show support and love for his family after years of service as a medic in the army. He will be forever loved and missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Anna Marie Dawson.

Private burial with military honors by the US Army will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
