Harry K. Shelton Sr. Passed away on May 2, 2014. WW II Army Veteran. Cherished husband of Nina E. Shelton (nee Dent). Devoted father of Harry K. (Margaret) Shelton Jr., Margaret E. (Jesus M.) Sosa and Milo J. (Melinda) Shelton. Loving brother of Donald Shelton, Patty Shelton, late Anna Mae Ervin and the late Earl Shelton. Proud grandfather of 10 and fond great grandfather of 12. Funeral Service 11 am Tuesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. (corner of Rt. 52 & Essington), Joliet. Burial will be at Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-8 pm.

Wanda and I offer our condolences to the Shelton family in the loss of father and grandfather and great-grandfather Harry. We fondly remember him and all he contributed to the church family at First Baptist Church of Maywood. Harry was very faithful to send birthday greetings to all of us at FBC. We know he will be greatly missed by all of the Shelton family. Blessings to all!

Harry K. Shelton, Sr., a truly knowledgeable man who may have been strong in wanting things “his way”, but it was always with a kind mannerism. He was very seldom without his camera. We have most recently missed his special occasion remembrances and thoughts which he was always quick to share with many who crossed his path. Our condolences and sympathies to the family in this difficult time.

Harry and Nina were amazing people! I loved going to there house as a kid! My grandparents took me their house every time they went I loved it!
