Gilma Eleksis, née Buntinas, 88, of Wheeling, passed away in her home on August 15, 2017 in Wheeling, IL. A celebration of her life will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 5129 Wolf Rd, Western Springs, IL 60558 on August 26, 2017 at 10:00 with a service to follow at 12:00. Burial will be private. Family requests no flowers. Gilma is survived by her husband, Henry Eleksis; daughter, Gunda (Clifford) Maser; son, Arvid (Margaret) Eleksis; three grandchildren, Martynas (Lucy) Maser, Nicholas Eleksis, and Lauren Eleksis; and siblings Aldona Buntinas, Ramunas (Lilija) Buntinas, and Martynas (Ruta) Buntinas; many nieces and nephews; and cherished cat Minka.
