Leave A Condolence

Elizabeth Ann (Allaway) O’Donnell-Weizeorick

Elizabeth ‘Liz’ was the oldest living daughter of 11. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael ‘Sonny’ O’Donnell (deceased) in 1960; they had been together since the 7th grade. During their 39 year marriage, they had three daughters, Denise (Bill) Malevitis, Diana (Fred) Freeman and Dawn (Jake) Luchene. Twelve amazing grandchildren Paige (Kevin), Austin (Lynn), Amber, Carlee (Freddie), Ashley (Doug), Zac (Amanda), Tara, Alysa (Jerry), Kelsey (Chris), Noelle (Nathan), Hannah (Jimmy), and Allison. Eight precious great grandchildren Makenzie, Parker, Ivy, Vaughn, Amethyst, Frederick, Hailie & Eleni with two more on the way. She was a widow for 17 years and later in her life she met and married Jack Weizeorick. Through her marriage with Jack, her family grew as she gained 12 children and 36 grandchildren. They were married for 7 years before Lewy Body Dementia took her life.

Liz was the Matriarch of the family and a strong willed Breast Cancer survivor. She worked for Royal Optical for 38 years, she loved her family fearlessly and loved spending time visiting with friends and family. Her loved ones will always remember her as the life of the party, as she was always dancing, laughing and had the brightest smile. On a summer day, Liz could be found listening to Chicago baseball while working outside in her garden. Music was constantly playing throughout her house and her grandchildren will reminisce on memories of dancing with their grandmother ‘Gram’ in her living room. For the past 7 years, Liz enjoyed vacationing to Mexico with her husband Jack and attending Mass at their church. The love she had for her family will continue to shine through her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her siblings Patricia (Rich deceased), Bill (Denise), John (Carol), Jerry (Linda), and preceded in death by siblings Bob (Barb), Jim (Bernice), Dan, Ed (Trish), Ray (RuthAnn), Elaine and her parents Robert & Gertrude. Her bright light will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 10 am until time of Mass 11 am at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church 17500 S. 84th Ave., Tinley Park.
