David Medrano Jr. age 58, passed away September 5, 2021 at his residence in Tucson, Arizona. David is survived and will be greatly missed by his parents, sisters, younger brother, and many nieces & nephews.
David was an avid music lover. He taught himself how to play both the electric and acoustic guitars and loved all types of music, with his favorite being rock. David loved cooking and sharing his culinary finds with his sisters. David enjoyed flavor and never shied away from adding extra spice, like siracha to his foods. He enjoyed gardening and would always be happy to share his knowledge and tips on planting and caring for plants.
Although David lived miles away, he always made time to reach out to his family. Out of the blue he would send gifts letting people know that he was thinking of them. David enjoyed travel and was planning on a retirement in Fiji.
Funeral Service & Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL Friday, October 1, 2021, Everyone is asked to meet at the Welcome Center by 1:15 pm. Funeral Service with military honors to begin promptly at 1:30 pm. Officiating: Fr. Deogratias.

Dear Uncle David, In this life I didn’t get the chance to know you well but I did like your gentle yet independent spirit. I knew you to be generous and thoughtful. We still remember that one Christmas you bought my brothers and I a beautiful train set and played with us. It was awesome! In reading your obituary, I also realized how much like you my brothers grew up to be. I believe you would have really liked making music with them or cooking a great meal. May we meet again one day in Heaven. God comfort your family who misses you so much.
