Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in honor of Daniel Fernando Zapata, Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 813 West Roosevelt Road, Chicago, Illinois 60608.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen.

Church & Funeral staff asks that anyone who is considering being present for the service at the church, please follow the mandatory COVID guidelines: masks must be worn at all times, respect social distancing and hand sanitizer to be used upon entering the church.  We appreciate your understanding during these difficult times.

Danny, thanx for being my tour guide of Chicago. Showing me where could and could not go. We had some good times when I lived there. You were like a brother to me. Rest in peace.

P.S. I finally found someone to make that carrot cake from the recipe your mom gave me.
