Caroline F. Kalkis (nee Lenz), passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 16, 2014. Cherished wife of Roger Kalkis. Devoted mother of Randall (Annie) Kalkis, Kathryn (James) Zboncak and the late Theran (Jodi) Kalkis. Proud grandmother of Scott (Ashley) Kalkis, Xiling Kalkis, Jennifer (Alex) Levenhagen, Rafe (Alexandria) Kalkis, Kristi Zboncak, Zachary (Courtney) Zboncak and Kelsey (Aaron) Means. Fond great grandma of Cierra, McKenzie, Abby, Tessany and Judah. Loving sister of Fredrick, James, Kenneth and the late Lawrence & Leonard Lenz. Beloved daughter of the late Oliva (nee Olson) and the late Friedrich Lenz. Visitation Sunday 3-8 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1101 Kimberly Way, Lisle and Monday 9:30 am until time of Funeral Service, 10:30 am. Burial will be at Naperville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Caring Bridge or Gideons International would be appreciated.

So sorry for your loss. She had a Blessed life surrounded by a loving husband and family. She will be missed. Our prayers are with you during these sad time, but now she has a new family who’ll watch over her. Jesus!

So sorry for your loss. Your Mom always made me feel as though she had known me all my life. So glad I had the opportunity to know her. She was a wonderful caring person. Our prayers are with you all.

It’s always difficult to come up with the right words. They always seem so inadequate. I’m glad that the long vigil is finally over though I know you would always want one more day. Still, the early Christians always celebrated the passing as opposed to mourning it. They were right. The soul is at peace and the parting is only temporary. So it’s not goodbye but,rather, til we meet again. That being the case her epitath would be -“someday”. I wish all of you all the best.
