Carol Aguilar

Carol Aguilar, age 37, passed away in her husband’s arms on February 10, 2017, in the home of friends David and Stephanie Corral.

She is survived by her husband, Miguel Aguilar; her children, Kayla, Kane, Kaleb, and Kasey Aguilar; her parents, Jose and Natividad Casillas; and her brothers, Jesus, Miguel, Jose, and Omar Casillas.

She answered to a lot more roles than that. Some called her Comadre, others called her Teacher. She was a friend, a dance partner, a role model. She loved books, math and house music. A life too cool for an obituary.

Diagnosed with cancer in late 2016, she still kept making plans, for upcoming parties, a new home, a future growing old with her soul mate of 23 years. In her final days she was surrounded by friends and family.

Visitation: Friday, February 17, 2017, St. Procopius Church, 1641 S Allport St, Chicago IL. 60608, from 2pm till 8pm. Funeral Service: Saturday, February 18, 2017, at St. Procopius Church, Viewing 9am, Mass 10am. Burial Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.

Dearest Miguel and your four beautiful children; Although I don’t know you and the children personally, I do know Carol and her parents. My daughter Dionne went to school with her in grade school. I am truly heart broken that Carol is no longer with us. Carol was the cutest little girl, always a smiling. Even back then , she planned some pretty cool pajama parties with the girls because they couldn’t be missed even if they were only once a year. Mijo, my heart truly aches for you all. As adults it may be one iota easier but I’m certain the children are lost. May the Lord help and guide you as you embark on a different journey. May you be strong and gain strength as you keep in mind all the beautiful memories you and your children made together.. May the Lord ease the pain of her parents and brothers as Carol was also their girl. My sincerest condolences to all of the people who had the honor of her friendship. May her beautiful soul rest in peace and her spirit live on through us all. . God Bless You All.

Whenever I saw Carol in person, she was shining bright with her children and Miguel and there was always love radiating from both of their hearts. Whenever I saw “carol” written so beautifully into the graffiti art of Kane1 – she was vivacious and colorful and mischievous and a reminder that love always wins!!! Sending the deepest condolences to the entire family.
