Bettina (Tina) V. Lynn-Mulle, 82, of Aurora, IL, passed away after a lengthy illness on March 25, 2022, at Tabor Hills Bohemian Home.
Tina was born in Islip, NY in 1939 and moved multiple times during her life. Wherever she lived, she collected friends that she treasured along the way. Her favorite memories were learning to ski and ice skate in North Conway, NH; sailing and hanging out with friends in Islip, NY; taking her children on road trips to go sailing or camping when she lived in Milpitas, CA; becoming a foster parent and a Certified Nursing Assistant in Kennebunk, ME; establishing an organic farm and hosting Fresh Air kids in Sanford, ME; flying kites, in Patchogue, NY; joining protests or drumming circles on the beach and attending the Blues & Barbecue festival in Homosassa, FL; finding solace during her battles with cancer by watching the animals that live near the Fox River, at Plum Landing Retirement Community in Aurora, IL.
Tina was especially fond of her farming years in Sanford, Maine. She taught herself organic gardening, learned how to spin yarn, and raised angora rabbits, chickens, geese, goats, and ponies. Tina also enjoyed volunteering at the MOFGA Common Ground Fair each year.
Tina decided to become a nurse when physical issues made it difficult to tend to the farm. At 51 years-old, she earned her degree in Licensed Practical Nursing. She then challenged herself to take the New York State boards and passed. She had a successful nursing career at Good Samaritan Nursing home in West Islip, eventually becoming a Charge Nurse before retiring.
Tina joined the Unitarian Universalist Church in 1958 and it became central to her life. Wherever she lived, she became a member and joined their social justice and environmental campaigns. She had the honor of being a board member of the Nature Coast UU where she saw the church grow from a tiny store front to a thriving community with a permeant home in Citrus Springs, FL. She was most recently a member of the DuPage UU congregation in Naperville, IL.
Tina is survived by her brothers, Mike Lynn, (Vienna, Austria) and Gerry Lynn, (Stonington, CT); her son, John, and his wife Kathleen Davidson (Sanford, ME); her daughter, Beth, and her husband Rick Milheron (Aurora, IL); her grandchildren, Meghan (Davidson) Duggan, Caitlyn (Milheron) Karl and Shannon Milheron; four great grandchildren; her nieces, Holly Lynn and Robin Lynn; and her foster daughters, Nona Stevens and Crystal St. Jean.
Preceded in death were her parents, Alan Grayson Lynn, and Elizabeth Adele Lynn (nee Helgeson); her brother, Alfred Grayson Lynn; her first husband, John P. Davidson; her second husband Lester H. Mulle; her son, Karl Grayson Davidson; her grandchildren, Sebastian K. Davidson, and Gillian N. Milheron.
Tina requested that we celebrate her life at the DuPage UU Church on her birthday in June. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ or to Smile Train www.smiletrain.org
Offer Condolence for the family of Bettina Lynn-Mulle

See you in the stars, Grandma Tina. Love you always.
Beth, what a nice obituary. Tina was an amazing person and accomplished so much during her life. She certainty was a special person.
Will miss hearing your loud laugh and hearing about the quirky thing you are currently obsessed with, but the fierce love you had for your family will live on in us forever. Love you, Grandma.
Tina contributed much to the community life at DuPage UU Church where I am a member. Over the few short years of our acquaintance, I enjoyed her cheerful attitude and sense of humor as well as her obvious intelligence and grace.
My sympathy to all her family and friends.
You and I became very good friends, thanks in many ways due to the DUUC. Marty and I so enjoyed your humor on our many journeys to church. I hope you will find wherever you end up in the stratosphere! I miss you both very much! Thanks for your friendship and love!

I am so happy to have had the opportunity to meet Tina! I loved her stories and positive thoughts. She was a strong beautiful woman and with a fierce love of her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Bettina, we met much too late, but when we did, we enjoyed fantastic times in beautiful spots. I fondly remember the laughs that we had, the music we shared, the places we visited. Of course I feel that we should have had more of all that, but I am forever grateful we met at all. Safe travels, Bettina, and eternal happiness. Your little brother Mike
Beth, what a wonderful tribute to your Mom. She sounds like she was quite a lovely lady. May your memories of her sustain you through this initial grief and during the years to come. Sending my love, Vicki
Sorry for the lost of your loved one. She will sadly be missed by many. Sorry it’s taken me so long to right this.
Tina was my roommate at a fall retreat. My first acquaintance with her was then and we shared living experiences when she was at Plum Landing too. She had a cat there; she loved her animals. She had a loving and giving spirit and I’ll miss her.
Hi Beth, I have paperwork and picture of Alan Grayson Lynn who was married to my great aunt at one point, not sure if they divorced or were together through his death but I am happy to forward if you are interested in. I reached out through findagrave website several months ago when going through some things and never heard back but I haven no idea if they notify you that I messaged. Anyway as I said Im happy to forward what I have if you are interested.
