Posted By Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care On September 23, 2022 @ 4:14 pm In Obituaries | 6 Comments

Alfredo Alanis III was born December 8, 1987 and born into eternity on August 27, 2022.

He is survived by his father Alfredo Alanis Jr., his mother Alexandra (nee Arroyo) Sluis, his stepfather Ronald Sluis, his siblings: Ricardo Tena Jr. (Margaret), Santino Chavez Sr. (Ariana), Alejandra Alanis (Scott Heard), Abraham Alanis, Anthony Shaffer, Maria Alanis; and his son Alfredo Alanis IV. He has many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alfredo was known to his family as Freddy and to many friends as Fredo. He loved music, poetry, writing, art, animals, nature, traveling by backpack, and hitchhiking. He truly marched to his own tune.

Freddy loved God, his family, and meeting new people. He wanted to spread joy to others and had a heart for lost and lonely people. He didn’t stay in any one place for very long. He was a rambling man. He was loved by many, more than he knew. He will be missed very much.

Visitation: Saturday, October 1, 2022 at First Christian Church – Lansing, 2921 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois 60438. Lying in state from 8:30 a.m. until the start of Church service at 10:30 a.m.

He’s here today and gone tomorrow; a real ramblin’ man.
Death: It is the most final of the comforts he’ll ever really know🙏🏻…..for in death the Lord has truly settled Freddy’s spirit in a place he’ll never need his backpack or wish to leave .

Alfredo my Friend! Don’t know why you left so soon. My heart is broken knowing that will never get to hang out on this planet. But my heart sores knowing that we’ll be hanging out in a much better place someday. God bless you
